Bray Heights Officially Open for Business

Bray Heights Farm
June 30, 2023

All members of the Bray Heights staff (and animals!) are excited to welcome you all

Green Valley, ON - Bray Heights will be opening its barn doors for the first time on July 15, 2023. The public is invited to celebrate the occasion and to experience the immersive, hands-on, sensory activities with Bray Heights animals firsthand.

The ribbon-cutting event starts at 10:30 AM on July 15, 2023 at 20015 County Rd 25, Green Valley, ON.

The grand opening includes a full tour of the main grounds on the 60-acre farm from exploring Piggy Palace to visiting Littleside to checking out the occupants of the frog pond. And there will be a brief presentation explaining what Bray Heights can and will offer those who participate in the available day and overnight programs.

Bray Heights Farm offers both day and overnight respite that includes educational and enriching activities to allow those with special needs to learn about life on a farm and the animals on it, as well as the land around them; all while enjoying their time in and around nature in rural Ontario. This is truly where hearts and needs connect.

“The moment we moved to this area just a few short years ago, we saw an opportunity to give back to the community we so love living in,” said Catherine Lightstone, Bray Heights owner, and founder. “What better way to do that than
give rescued animals a home and Special Needs adults a place to explore, flourish, and thrive?”

About Bray Heights Farm
The founder and creator of Bray Heights Farm, retired Special Needs teacher Catherine J. Lightstone, was born and raised on a farm in Devon, England. Catherine’s passion for both her students and her animals was apparent in her
immediate decision to open Bray Heights Farm the moment she retired from teaching full-time. Bray Heights allows Special Needs adults to participate in a gentle, enriching program that provides a unique, individualized experience on a picturesque 60-acre farm.
