Day / Half-Day Program

Runs Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Bring a pack lunch, snacks, and drinks. 

BRAY HEIGHTS DAY / HALF-DAY PROGRAM 

Note that time slots are an approximation and the day's activities depend on weather and client needs/restrictions

10:00 AM

Welcome participants and take to the Gazebo to store their packed lunch and belongings. 

Review the program itinerary, give a brief overview of the facilities, and safety rules. 

10:30 AM

Take a brief tour of the main barn and Littleside:

  • Meet the pigs and rabbits in the main barn.
  • Head back to Littleside to groom donkeys, ponies, and goats, give treats, and learn all about them.
  • Explore the chicken coop, meet the birds, interact, and look for eggs to collect.

11:30 AM

Snack/tea/drink break

Spend time sitting with the rabbits inside their outdoor enclosure.

Make friends with the big horses over the fence and compare them to the Littleside animals.

12:30 PM

Lunch break in the gazebo while viewing presentations about farms and animals.

Half-day morning attendees prepare to leave. Half-day afternoon attendees arrive. 

1:00 PM

Meet the pigs in Pig Palace inside the big barn.

Brush and give belly rubs. Discover how different their fur is compared to the other animals, and learn all about pigs.

Visit the bee hives and learn all about beekeeping. Bee suits available.

1:45 PM

Wash hands and bathroom break. Prepare for a nature walk - apply sunscreen, bug spray, fill water bottles, etc. 

2:00 - 3:00 PM

A walk through the property (through fields and woods) with or without the donkeys. Learn about the trees, flowers and the land. Approximate distance of hike, 1-2 km total. A break for snacks and to take a rest is included along the trail. 

Optional activity: outdoor lawn games or spending more time with the animals.

3:00-4:00 PM

Return to the gazebo for the keepsake art activities: colouring their complimentary Bray Heights T-shirts with their favourite animals of the day. Having the other participants sign the back of their shirts. 

When complete, reflect on the day by the frog pond, answer questions, and say farewells.

 

Cost: $180 CDN + H.S.T per person 

Half-Day Program cost: $85 CDN + H.S.T per person


Note: The Day and Half-Day Program itinerary will align as closely as possible with the participants’ needs and abilities.

 

Overnight Program

One- or two-night stays available. 

Available starting from Friday 6:00 p.m. ( arrival) and includes  BBQ supper, campfire activities, overnight in tents plus Saturday (breakfast and lunch included). Clients will participate in animal and outdoor activities. Pick-up at 4:00 p.m.

And/or:

Saturday arrive at 6:00 p.m. and includes BBQ supper, campfire activities, overnight in tents. Sunday (breakfast and lunch included). Clients will participate in animal and outdoor activities. Pick up at 4:00 p.m. 

BRAY HEIGHTS OVERNIGHT PROGRAM

6:00 PM

Welcome participants and take them to the gazebo to store any snacks or specialty food items them may have, as well as belongings not needed for camping. 

Everyone will place their camping belongings in their tents and set up in preparation for the night. 

Review the program itinerary, give a brief overview of the facilities, and safety rules. 

6:30 PM

BBQ dinner time! Family style meal. 

Options provided will include hamburgers (meat and vegetarian), hotdogs, sides such as chips and dip, coleslaw and raw veggies. Water, juice and soft drinks provided. 

7:30 PM

Campfire activities; sing-alongs, getting to know one another, story-telling, and looking at the stars. 

Campfire snacks such as chips, marshmallows and soft drinks will be provided. 

10:00 PM

Lights out! Everyone will head to their individual tents to settle in for the night after nighttime routines are complete (washing up, etc.). 

 

DAY 1

8:00 AM

Rise and shine! Time for washing up and getting ready for the day of adventures on the farm ahead. 

Air out the tents and if only staying for one night, pack up belongings.

8:30 AM

Breakfast is served in the gazebo, provided by Bray Heights. Juice, water and coffee/tea also included. 

10:00 AM

    Clients that stay a second night can spend time between 4:00 pm and dinner time can relax on the back deck or play lawn games while new clients arrive. 

    Day 2 activities follow the same pattern as Day 1, with changes depending on participant needs and weather. 

     

    Cost: One night $240.00 + H.S.T per person (food & tent provided)

    Cost: Two-night stay $480.00 + H.S.T per person (food & tent provided)
